Icon Media Direct is a company that is an industry leader in direct response media services. At the retreat, which lasted a day and a half, Wayne Parker led the executive team through a strategic planning process creating a mission statement and a list of core values. Following this process, the entire management team had a team building and leadership training experience. |

The Utah Department of Community and Culture is a department of Utah State government that went through a period of rapid change with the election of a new governor. Several functions that had been associated with the department were reassigned to other departments, and the remaining divisions needed direction and focus. During their first executive team retreat, the focus was on strategic planning and team building, and resulted in a new mission statement, vision statement, goals and objectives. Wayne was invited back for their second annual retreat at which the team did more team building and developed performance measures.

The US Marine Corps Materiel Command, Albany, Georgia invited Wayne Parker of The Retreat Professionals to conduct a one-day management retreat focused on effective delegation and "monkey management." The team was trained on these topics and had the opportunity to practice the new skills learned in a role play setting. |

The City Council of Ogden, Utah held a goal setting retreat facilitated by Wayne Parker. The process began with a participant survey of key priorities and issues, and during the retreat set key objectives for the coming year. Ogden is a city with many dynamics, political, socio-economic and otherwise, and dealing with rapid change and development has been a particular challenge. The retreat helped the elected officials focus on what was most important.
